Called mHealth, the system designed by TICANALYSE enables integrated management of childhood illnesses. It has been implemented with the support of UNICEF and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The mortality rate for children under the age of 5 is 80 per 1,000 in Burkina. And according to Dr Simon Sanou, 51 out of every 100 people in Burkina Faso use mobile phones.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">With this in mind, the Ministry of Health, in its fight against infant and child mortality, has decided to incorporate new technologies into its efforts to improve health conditions in community areas.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Combining technology and health is the challenge taken up by TICANALYSE, which has designed the mHealth Burkina system, the solution to the problem. An innovative device, mHealth Burkina is a new approach for rural communities.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As a result, demonstration sessions on the use of mobile phones for data collection and transmission in health and social promotion centres (CSPS) have been set up.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_1799\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1799\" style=\"width: 810px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" class=\"wp-image-1799\" src=\"https:\/\/ticanalyse.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/15355722_1602182883131930_8630856880740752882_n-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"810\" height=\"607\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ticanalyse.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/15355722_1602182883131930_8630856880740752882_n-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/ticanalyse.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/15355722_1602182883131930_8630856880740752882_n-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/ticanalyse.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/15355722_1602182883131930_8630856880740752882_n.jpg 960w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 810px) 100vw, 810px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-1799\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><em><strong>mHealth Burkina application demonstration session<\/strong><\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">MHealth has thus made it possible, on the one hand, to boost the productivity of Community Health Workers and significantly reduce the infant mortality rate. It has also facilitated the transmission of qualitative data on case management and facilitated the resupply of medicines.\u00a0 This will be achieved by equipping CBHAs with mobile phones equipped with the application.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_1815\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1815\" style=\"width: 270px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img class=\"wp-image-1815\" src=\"https:\/\/ticanalyse.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/J1-MHealth-197x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"270\" height=\"411\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ticanalyse.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/J1-MHealth-197x300.jpg 197w, https:\/\/ticanalyse.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/J1-MHealth-768x1168.jpg 768w, https:\/\/ticanalyse.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/J1-MHealth-673x1024.jpg 673w, https:\/\/ticanalyse.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/J1-MHealth.jpg 1052w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 270px) 100vw, 270px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-1815\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><em><strong>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0mHealth on mobile<\/strong><\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">To date, six health districts are using mHealth Burkina, and a total of 182 ICPs and 1,638 ASBCs using mHealth Burkina have been added to these districts, according to data received from the Department of Computer Services and Telehealth (DSITS).
